Spend time with the horses and learn to understand their behaviour, build trust, and communicate with calm and clarity. Notice your own energy shift as you relax, breathe, and connect with the rhythm of the herd and the natural world.

Supervision: Children 6-10 year olds must be accompanied by an adult one-to-one, and 11–13 year olds without prior experience must be accompanied by an adult on a three-to-one ratio.

You’ll learn: How to approach horses confidently, fit basic in-hand tack, walk alongside them with harmony, and explore the foundations of join-up and lunging – developing awareness, confidence, and the sense of partnership that underpins a true horse-human connection.

We start in the arena, focusing on balance, trust, and confidence, then progress to countryside trails where the rhythm of the ride and the beauty of the landscape bring ease and freedom. It’s a gentle progression that meets you exactly where you are – nervous, excited, curious, or all three.

You’ll learn: To handle your horse calmly, find a secure and comfortable seat, steer and stop with clarity, and ride confidently on trails – building the skills, awareness, and connection needed for future riding holidays or the first steps toward owning a horse of your own.

You’ll spend time tuning into your horse’s rhythm and your own instincts. Some sessions take place in the arena, focusing on obstacles; others happen on the trails, where natural challenges test your navigation and control; and some learning is done on-foot or in the classroom, blending practical experience with clear understanding. Inspired by TREC, you’ll navigate with Ordnance Survey maps and Google Maps, tackle obstacles, and learn to read both the landscape and your horse with precision.

You’ll learn: To manage your horse with clarity, navigate confidently, and approach obstacles with calm determination – strengthening your skills, your partnership, and your sense of adventure.
